AHRI's COVID-19 & HR Wellbeing Report Sept 2020

As a snapshot of how COVID-19 is affecting Australian human resource practitioners, the results contained in AHRI's COVID-19 & HR's Wellbeing Report 2020 are pretty compelling.

You'd have to be hiding under a rock to unaware of the change that is being wrought in Australian workplaces due the pandemic. We are all aware of the stress this virus has brought into our lives, however this report confirms what we know. People are struggling with workloads, trying to manage a dispersed workforce, with feeling disconnected from other people even though we're now spending an inordinate amount of time on video calls. We're all feeling tired, with never ending workloads.

That has mental health implications. Now is the time to look at how your Organisation supports the mental health and well being of your all employees. Once people have burnt out, it's a much harder road back to where they started.

While this report is specific to HR practitioners, I believe that is an excellent representation of what other professions are experiencing during COVID-19.

Now is the time to look at how your Organisation supports the mental health and well being of your all employees. If you are also too time poor to find the solution yourself, hire someone to do it for you if you can afford it. Whatever you spend on health and wellbeing for your employees now will be money saved through lack of engagement, stress, sick leave and poor performance of your employees.
